Wilsonton Heights Park Great job Opportunities

The vision for Wilsonton Heights Park
Wilsonton Heights Park aims to encourage community interaction and involvement to foster a sense of spirit and pride within the local community.
The design aims to create an identity for the Park, that is a celebration of the diverse community, inclusive of all members.img2
Nature & the environment are key aspects of the park.  Native and bush food planting areas will be a feature of the park to engage the community and provide educational opportunities.

The first stage is to incorporate 3 ‘totems’ to be decorated in themes to represent a story devised from the community engagement.  These will be placed amongst the trees so as sit amongst the natural landscape, at focal points along major pedestrian paths.
img3Supporting simply coloured totems will be installed at several locations with potential for future artworks to be included through further community participation.

South American (Peru’) superfood you should know about

Heard of YACON? it is the latest ‘superfood’. it makes your food, drink, stir fry etc. sweet, and yet is very healthy. its amazing. Greg Leis is a person with a disability who sells them to raise money so he can afford a medical procedure which will allow him to hear. He sells them for $10 each from our community centre, and from his home. You can’t phone Greg because he is deaf, but you can text him on 0409874476. This photo of the plants he has propagated was taken to day at the community centre today…
